  • Oversees all Banquet cooks, supporting the Banquet Chef and restaurant staff ensuring the standards are met

  • Specifically oversees banquets, executes menus, writes prep lists, organizes cooks, writes order lists, orders product, trains staff, and maintains a clean and organized kitchen

  • Prepares and produces menu items to recipe standards in a quick and efficient manner

  • Shows skills in garde manger, broiler, saucier and large quantity cooking according to recipe specifications

  • Oversees food production including proper cooking methods, proper cooking times and temperature

  • Assists the Banquet Chef as needed and serves as person in charge when the Banquet Chef is not available

  • Familiar with all phases of food preparation techniques

  • Responsible for assisting the Banquet Chef with training, developing and retaining culinary talent, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for all employees

  • Maintain a clean station and adhere to all kitchen maintenance and sanitation standards

  • Have an up-to-date knowledge of the menu (including preparation, seasoning, ingredients and plate presentation)

  • Follow proper methods for preparing and cooking food

  • Showcases proper technique and efficiency while preparing food


  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

  • Must be familiar with all phases of food preparation and related techniques

  • Must be able to maintain a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and uphold company appearance/dress standards

  • Ability to build a positive team around you and keep high employee morale among kitchen staff

  • Must have a passion for cooking and an active commitment to quality, safety, and sanitation practices

  • You should have extensive product knowledge/ willingness to explore and use local ingredients with an individual culinary style that manifests in on-concept, innovative, scratch recipes

  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team

  • 2-3 years prior experience in a from scratch kitchen with willingness to grow


  • Mobility and dexterity to move large, heavy objects up to 100 lbs

  • Manual dexterity to include using kitchen utensils and handling food items

  • Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing, and be able to withstand a hot and/or close environment

  • Must be able to work at a fast pace, and to respond to visual and oral cues
